Unlock-code packsNCOM18 — Bosch diesel engine managementFunctions include reading and clearing faults, accessing settings including entering the security code if the BeCM and engine management lose synchronisation, viewing live inputs, and testing supported outputs. Loss of BeCM/engine synchronisation is a major cause of immobilisation in the P38. NCOM16 — P38 systemsThe legacy Products article states that the following ECUs are covered irrespective of P38 model. Actual fitment varies by vehicle. BeCM — Body Control ModuleThe BeCM does not have a conventional fault-code memory; it has outstations and monitors radio frequencies used by the immobilisation system. The software can read and clear RF memory and outstation information, read various settings and change supported settings, display live inputs, and test selected functions through outputs. On North American Specification or Canadian models, it can reset the Service Reminder lamp where that function is enabled. BeCM limitations: A locked BeCM restricts access to certain information. An alarmed BeCM must be unlocked by a specialist before communication is possible. The Nanocom Evolution cannot unlock the BeCM. Lucas EAS — Electronic Air SuspensionFunctions include reading and clearing fault codes, reading actual height settings, calibrating and storing High Profile, Standard Height, Low Profile and Access heights, displaying live inputs, operating valves and briefly running the compressor through output tests, simulating the in-vehicle height buttons, and fully deflating the system for maintenance.
